Better Together: Goodwill's Values in Action
Here at Goodwill Southeast Georgia, our Associates believe in living out our values in support of our mission. Accountability, Empowerment, Integrity, Service, and Teamwork inform everything that we do—in the workplace, with our families, and in the community.
We had a wonderful opportunity to share our support for those values at Savannah’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade. Dr. King’s commitment to equity and equality truly paved the way for our workforce development mission today.
We believe in giving every individual opportunity to reach a brighter future through access to training, education, and support to find work.
We also know Goodwill’s strength lies in the diversity of those we employ, educate, and serve. This belief inspires the actions and intentions of our Associates across the organization.
Walking with the Goodwill group last Monday was a variety of programs and roles, brought together to share our mission. This unity was the core of our message to parade-goers— “Better Together.”
We know here at Goodwill, together, we can do a lot of good for our community.
In 2023, Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s 5 Opportunity centers served more than 3,000 people-- a milestone not seen since 2019—a pre-pandemic year. Most importantly, we also witnessed more than 430 individuals achieve sustainable employment to better themselves, their families, and their communities – which is at the heart of all we do at Goodwill.
We wouldn’t be able to do this without your support. Your donations, the visits to our retail stores, and a strong commitment from our manufacturing customers produce the funds that support these life-changing resources.
Here’s to even more lives changed in 2024—we hope you’ll join us in doing good at Goodwill!
