We have a lot to celebrate this month at Goodwill Southeast Georgia! The incredible generosity of our donors and the impact of donated, gently-used items is on full display with our Donate to Win campaign.
We're giving away a $250 gift card to one lucky donor each week.*
We’re in the third week of the campaign, and it’s no coincidence that Donate to Win started during Earth Month. Here at Goodwill Southeast Georgia, we believe in giving items a second life, and that starts by keeping items out of the landfill! In 2023 alone, our donors helped Goodwill Southeast Georgia keep more than 13 million pounds of items out of local landfills. We’ve had a lot of fun attending community events this month in Waycross, Savannah and Brunswick to share more about our sustainability efforts.
Our Donate to Win campaign is keeping the momentum going into 2024 and giving us a chance to say THANK YOU! for your generous donations. We’ve seen great representation across our region so far, with our first three winners coming from Statesboro, Jesup and Savannah (Eisenhower retail store).
These winners have not only received $250 Visa gift cards but have also contributed to the “cycle of good”. Your donations, whether clothing, household items, or electronics, have a profound impact on our community.
We had a chance to share more about the cycle of good on East Georgia’s Morning Show recently—you can listen in below!
Donations of gently-used items fuel our job training and placement programs, providing individuals with the skills and resources they need to build better lives for themselves and their families. The items from one bag or box of donations, on average, generate enough funding in our retail stores to support two hours of training! That’s a great start for someone seeking services at one of our five Opportunity Centers.
Every item donated creates opportunities for employment, education, and empowerment. It's a ripple effect of positivity that extends far beyond the walls of our stores. By participating in Donate to Win, you are not only decluttering your space but also investing in the future of Southeast Georgia.
And the best part? Donate to Win continues through the month of May! That's right – you still have the chance to donate and win big. So, gather your gently used items and visit your nearest Goodwill location to join the movement.
Together, let's keep the momentum going and make a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors. Your support and generosity are truly making our community a brighter, more hopeful place for all.
*One winner is chosen weekly. Only one entry is accepted per day. No purchase or donation necessary to enter or win. Must be a legal US resident 18 or older to enter.
It's as easy as 1-2-3 to enter!
Donate to Win continues through May!
