Leia Dedic Headshot

Leia Dedic

Leia Dedic serves as the Chief Impact Officer at the United Way of the Coastal Empire (UWCE) where she leads the design, implementation, and data-driven storytelling of the organization’s impact initiatives aligned with its dynamic strategic plan. Previously Leia served as Managing Consultant with Guidehouse, a Washington D.C.-based consultancy, specializing in strategy and business transformation and spent ten years at the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) where she served as the Vice President of Strategy & Partnerships. Leia serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Southeast Georgia, Junior Achievement, the Small Business Assistance Corporation, Coastal Georgia Indicators Coalition, and Housing Savannah, Inc.

Leia received her B.A. in Economics from Armstrong State University, now Georgia Southern University. She was selected by Georgia Southern University’s Alumni Association for the 40 under 40 class of 2019 for leading the way in business, leadership, community, educational and/or philanthropic endeavors. Leia also graduated from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development (2017), Leadership Savannah (2017), and Leadership Southeast Georgia (2019).

Anna Chafin

Anna Chafin joined the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) in January 2024.  She is president and chief executive officer (CEO) of RISE, the Regional Industry Support Enterprise.

Prior to joining RISE, Anna served as the CEO of the Development Authority of Bryan County for 10 years.  She has worked in economic development in coastal Georgia for almost 20 years.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Mercer University with minors in Business Administration and English.  Anna is a graduate of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, Leadership Bryan, Leadership Southeast Georgia (LSEGA), and Leadership Georgia.

Anna has held various leadership positions in the Georgia Economic Developers Association (GEDA), including chairing the organization in 2017.  Anna was originally appointed to the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) by Governor Nathan Deal, and Governor Brian Kemp reappointed her to a second term, which she is currently serving.  Anna is a past chair of the GSFC board and the LSEGA Alumni Association.

In 2022, Anna received the GEDA Rip Wiley Award for Professional Excellence and the Emerging Leader Award from the Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum.

Jason Marshall

President and CEO, Goodwill Southeast Georgia

Jason Marshall, CEO & President of Goodwill Southeast Georgia, is responsible for all of the strategic vision and success of the organization. Jason previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Goodwill Southeast Georgia since 2018. Before joining Goodwill Southeast Georgia, Jason previously worked in roles at Goodwill Industries of North Central Pennsylvania, Falls Creek, PA (Executive Vice President – Workforce Development and Retail) and Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, Boston, MA (Vice President – Retail Enterprise). As CEO of Goodwill Southeast Georgia, Jason works with operating teams to achieve desired results while maintaining a strong focus on the mission to support individuals with barriers to employment to achieve positive life outcomes.

Jason attended Strayer University and received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2011 with an emphasis in retail management and a minor in human resources. He also received a Master’s of Business Administration in 2015 with a concentration in Public Administration. Jason also completed professional development programs with Goodwill Industries International, including the Senior Leader and Executive Development programs.
