Your Things Transform Lives.

Everyone has a past, even the donated items we receive every day at our retail stores and donation centers. It's what we do with the future that matters.

Since 1965, Goodwill Southeast Georgia has been changing lives through the power of work. With a belief in possibility and the power of second chances, donated items can help create new lives for thousands of people each year.

Meet Michael.

“Goodwill gave me back my independence by giving me the opportunity to get back into the workforce."

At the age of 40, Michael lost his sight to the hereditary disease Optic Nerve Atrophy.  Life for Michael would change tremendously as he knew it before. Because of his disability, it was hard for him to find work again. He felt as if he lost his independence.

The National Federation for the Blind School referred Michael to Goodwill. After receiving training from Goodwill, Michael gained full-time employment as a Production Tech. Michael quickly became a top producer, encouraging others to achieve their best along the way.

As an Associate, Michael is a natural leader within his team. He doesn't let his disability stop him from living his life.

How Your Donation Helps the People in Your Community

When you donate new and gently used items, such as a necklace, you help someone like Michael find a job.

Local Goodwill organizations sell your items in stores and online, and the revenue generated provides valuable employment training and job placement services for people in your community.

Meet Di'anne

Di'anne nearly lost everything to COVID; her thriving career, security, and health. Following her battle, she found herself lost, struggling to rebuild the life she had. That's when she found the Opportunity Center.

With Goodwill's support, Di'anne gained new skills, like driving a forklift, and began to take steps towards a bright future. Her undeniable drive and motivation enabled Di'anne to regain her confidence and employment with Coastal Care Partners.
