At Goodwill, our mission is rooted in a simple belief: everyone has something valuable to contribute. We help people build dignity and self-sufficiency through the power of work-and that includes creating inclusive workplaces where individuals of all abilities can learn, grow, and thrive. Founded in 1938, the AbilityOne Program is one of the largest sources of employment in the United States for individuals with significant disabilities. Managed by the U.S. AbilityOne Commission, the program partners with nonprofit organizations across the country to provide essential services like call center management, fleet and facilities management, and custodial services. But AbilityOne is more than a job program-it’s a pathway to confidence, skill development, and career growth. Goodwill Southeast Georgia has proudly participated in the AbilityOne Program for over 35 years. Through this program, individuals with disabilities receive hands-on training, supportive coaching, and real-world experience in professional environments. Each AbilityOne Associate is partnered with a dedicated Case Manager who helps them build skills, overcome barriers, and prepare for future opportunities-whether that’s growth within Goodwill or a new role in the community. AbilityOne creates a safe, supportive place to learn and thrive, and many participants go on to find long-term success both inside and outside of Goodwill. Play Video
