Congressman Buddy Carter Tours Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s New Opportunity Center

Savannah, Ga- Congressman Buddy Carter Tours Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s new Opportunity Center before official grand opening.  The Opportunity Center at Goodwill provides intensive support and wrap around services designed to address each job seekers individual needs and barriers. In the Center, individuals with critical family and life issues can receive support services—including one-on-one coaching, transportation assistance, Google digital skills, and assistance obtaining appropriate credentials & certifications for high demand careers.

While touring the new center, Congressman Carter presented Goodwill with a copy of his Congressional Record tribute to the organization in honor of National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month. Goodwill appreciates the congressman’s commitment to the first district and building a stronger community through inclusion and the power of work.

In 2019, Goodwill Southeast Georgia provided overt 8,000 hours of training. All of Goodwill’s services are free of charge, allowing the individuals who need our support access to the resources they need without any financial burden. Goodwill strives to help individuals obtain mid-wage jobs by offering a one-stop center and deepening the support offered to individuals by making the path to a brighter future accessible and easier to navigate.

Goodwill Southeast Georgia will host the official grand opening ceremony for the Opportunity Center in January 2020.
