National Thrift Shop Day is one of our favorite days of the year at Goodwill! We spent the day celebrating the heart and soul of nonprofit thrift stores like ours, dedicated to helping people reach their full potential.

This year a special group of shoppers went behind the scenes to see what it takes to make that mission come to life. The Thrift Bus rolled into town for our 3rd Annual Thrift Crawl!
New this year, we introduced a route that took us through stores in the southern part of our region. The 'Thrift Crawlers' explored our Brunswick-area stores, including our newest adult boutique located on St. Simons Island: The Vault!
Our fun, enthusiastic group started the day with breakfast, exclusive giveaways, and a behind the scenes tour at our Brunswick Outlet. They learned about the Cycle of Good--how donations are given a second life, with purchases funding free training and career services at our 6 Opportunity Centers.
Then, it was off on a thrifting adventure! We explored the Brunswick retail store and Outlet, and then traveled to the St. Mary's retail store on the thrift bus.
The thrifters played Goodwill Bingo, with each number called revealing a fact about Goodwill's local impact.
At St. Mary's, thrifters were surprised with a special room of curated, VIP racks full of amazing finds. After shopping, lunch was served featuring local vendors.
Finally, we made our way to our newest adult boutique, The Vault! It was a wonderful day visiting with new and old friends alike.
If you weren't able to snag a ticket to this year's Thrift Crawl, make sure to keep an eye out for our other shopping events! We host quarterly Sip and Shops--an exclusive, evening experience that rotates through our regional retail stores. And of course, the Thrift Crawl will return next August, just in time for National Thrift Shop Day!
