Tara Fisher, Talent Acquisition & Marketing Specialist, joined Goodwill seeking a better work-life balance, career advancement, and a supportive, family-oriented environment.
With more than 20 years of experience in retail management, Tara knew her expertise could help attract top talent and enhance brand awareness through effective recruitment and marketing strategies. But she was also eager to learn and take her skills to the next level.
“I was (looking) for a career field or somewhere I could grow,” Tara shares.
“I had a lot of passion (for) marketing. When I came to Goodwill, they saw that I had that passion as well, so they invested in me to get a certification and social media marketing with Facebook.”
With her new certification, Tara partnered with the Marketing Team to bring fresh ideas to recruitment, combining her experience with new skills to make an even bigger impact.
But Goodwill supported Tara in more ways than one. As she advanced in her career, she also achieved a personal milestone-growing her family!
“I have the flexibility to come in, you know, get what I need to get done and go home knowing I don’t have to stress about it and there’s not that extra pressure. I just don’t ever feel stressed anymore.”
