Stories of Impact: Bank of America Student Leaders®

FaithAndKeylan Goodwill Southeast Georgia is a proud participant in the Bank of America Student Leaders® program. In 2024, with the support of Bank of America, Goodwill welcomed two outstanding students, Faith Agbehonou and Keylan Collins, for an eight-week summer experience focused on leadership and workforce development. Faith, a senior at Woodville-Tompkins High School, is going to study public health and psychology after graduation. Keylan, a senior at Savannah Early College, plans to pursue marine biology. Both students gained firsthand knowledge of nonprofit operations while contributing their talents to the Bank of America Student Leaders® program. Throughout the summer, Faith and Keylan participated in leadership training, professional development, and hands-on experiences across Goodwill’s Opportunity Centers and retail locations.

60th Anniversary Stories of Impact

In 2025, Goodwill Southeast Georgia is celebrating 60 years of service! Since 1965, Goodwill Southeast Georgia has transformed countless lives by empowering individuals to achieve their highest potential. Throughout the year, we will honor this legacy of impact by sharing inspiring stories of the GOOD we have accomplished together. Stay tuned for more stories, videos, memories and more! 20240605 092524 A highlight for Faith was working at the Eisenhower retail store, where she learned the full life cycle of a donation and how Goodwill’s retail operations and other business programs support its six regional Opportunity Centers offering free education, job training and employment services to the public. Keylan found the organization-wide poverty simulation particularly impactful. “It helped me see from a new perspective and grow from it,” he shared. In addition to their daily experiences, the students developed individual projects that showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills. Faith designed a Goodwill-themed escape room as a team-building activity for Associates, reinforcing Goodwill’s mission through interactive puzzles. She also created a pre- and post-assessment to measure its impact on workplace readiness. The final product was well-received by participating Associates. Keylan leveraged technology to enhance community engagement by creating a virtual tour of Goodwill’s Richmond Hill retail store and Opportunity Center. Using a 360-degree photography app, he integrated informational hotspots explaining Goodwill’s services and the donation process, providing an interactive and educational experience for donors and shoppers alike. As a capstone to their summer program, Faith and Keylan traveled to Washington, D.C., for a national leadership summit alongside fellow Student Leaders from across the country. The experience further enriched their understanding of leadership and civic engagement. Reflecting on her time at Goodwill, Faith shared, “Each sector of Goodwill is deeply involved in contributing to the mission, from educational opportunities to environmental sustainability.” Goodwill Southeast Georgia is inspired by the dedication and creativity of these young leaders. Their passion for service and innovation exemplifies the bright future ahead for our community. We are grateful for their contributions and look forward to working with another cohort of Bank of America Student Leaders® this summer!
